Lincoln Academy
The seventh and eighth-grade students put on an outstanding fall festival for their kindergarten buddies! The older ones put so much love and hard work into making the games and activities. The little kids were tickled and had a fabulous time. It is one of our favorite LA traditions!
Ms. Bodin and Mrs. Clingon took our middle school students to visit the U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum the day before Veterans Day. They had an opportunity to learn more and gain a greater appreciation for our veterans.
We honored our favorite veteran, Mr. Adams, during LA Worship. The students made cards, letters, and even a poem to let him know how thankful we are for him. Somehow we managed to keep it all a surprise. We are so thankful not only for his service to our country but to our school.
A huge thank you to Jordyn, with The Vessel Ceramic Studio, for teaching our students about pottery! Our older students were able to use the pottery wheel at the studio and our other students worked with clay in our art room. It was an incredible experience!
Little Linc
Our Little Linc Preschoolers have had a wonderful fall! A field trip to Lyon Family Farms was the highlight of our October. The children and their parents had a great time on the hayride, picking pumpkins, visiting the animals, and playing on the playground areas. One special part of the field trip was giving the parents time to get to know each other as the children played. Parenting is a challenging job, and giving the parents time to invest in friendships helps build their support network. Our wonderful pre-K teachers organized visits from several community helpers, including a nurse, fire fighters, and paramedics. We love to give the children hands-on experiences to deepen their understanding of our preschool curriculum. As we near the halfway point in our school year, it is exciting to see the children able to listen for longer periods of time. We start our day with the Bible story, and it is such a blessing that every child is now able to engage with Bible time.
In November, we welcomed all of our preschool parents for a special Thanksgiving craft time. Moms, dads, and grandparents joined their little ones to make a cute turkey. There were sweet conversations as the children told their parents the things they were thankful for this year. One of our goals at Little Linc is to engage our preschool parents in their child's education, both to encourage them in their role as parents and to give the children every opportunity to succeed.

Volunteer at Lincoln Village Ministry
There are so many ways and opportunities to serve here at Lincoln Village. He is just a few examples of how others have blessed us and our community this past month.
20/20 Eyecare was able to love on our teaching staff with gift bags to say "thank you" for all they do. They generously purchased and put together these bags at their office, allowing us to distribute them just before the Thanksgiving break.
HopeTown Church provided all of our Lincoln Village families with a WalMart gift card to help offset the cost of Thanksgiving meal expenses.
Evermore Homes donated not only their time and talents one afternoon but some much needed furniture to several of our families.
And don't forget, our Serve Saturdays, 8:00-11:00 am (except during inclement weather or holidays). We will not have Serve Days on December 23 & 30. We would love to have you join us for this time in serving the Lord and His people.
